OUTSTANDING RABBI AND PUBLIC FIGURE SUCCUMBS TO CANCER<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The ROGATCHI FOUNDATION mourns the passing of dear friend, great Rabbi, extraordinary man\u00a0Benny Elon<\/strong>\u00a0who passed away on May 5, on the Shabbat eve, in the way in which the Creator takes the souls of his favourite people back to the High. Former minister in the Israeli cabinet, extraordinary public figure, original and bold thinker, intelligent, kind person, Benny had immediate impact on people, and that impact was enlightening and enduring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His contribution into functioning of the Israeli state institutions was very serious; his activities on the international scene were brilliant and extremely positively affected many people worldwide; his vision was extraordinary and far stretching. He was a rare personality who was loved and adored by so many of his students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Benny was such an enlightened person that even heart-breaking news on his passing did felt different in\u200b the sensation it bears from the other similar news. It did come with the \u00a0feeling of light which\u00a0was the essence of Benny, our dear friend whom we will miss greatly. Israel, the Jewish nation, the Jews worldwide have lost the one of our most brilliant and special Sons today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good bye, dearest Benny. But it is just impossible to grasp a farewell with this man, of very many. Rabbi ELon who did fight cancer for several years very courageously, was 62 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
