the Board of The Rogatchi Foundation is very pleased to announce that distinguished Finnish diplomat and well-known cultural activist JUHA V\u00c4NSK\u00c4 has joined the International Advisory Board of The Rogatchi Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During all his multi-decade distinguished career, Mr V\u00e4nsk\u00e4 was known as exceptionally keen and successful promoter of the international cultural relations, initiator of the new international cultural events, contributor both in ideas and organising new meaningful cultural events which has become a great and widely respected, flourishing traditions. In his long and successful career, Juha V\u00e4nsk\u00e4  was working as the Media Affairs Counsellor  in the General Consulate of Finland in St Petersburg, Russia , Deputy Ambassador in Lithuania ,  as the head of the Information Group at the Communications Department of  the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was personally involved in the establishing the memorable series of concerts in Kuopio, in many  important theatrical, musical, artistic and literature events which has enriched the cultural landscape of Finland and the countries where Mr V\u00e4nsk\u00e4 was working so successfully. The one of his most remarkable international cultural initiatives was organised together with prolific musician Dmitry Sollertinsky, the son of the famous professor of St Petersburg conservatory and the closest friend of Dmitry Shostakovich, Ivan Sollertinsky, the series of three memorable concerts of maestro Maxim Shostakovich<\/strong>, the son of great composer.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In one special project, Jua V\u00e4nsk\u00e4 was personally responsible for organising a serious donation of the Rogatchi family library to the city library of Turku, Finland. The project in which several hundreds books had been donated to the one of the best in Finland library, has its long-term  ongoing impact on this day, according to the library’s leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also contributed masterly into the important exhibition and events The Rogatchi Foundation has conducted in Lithuania in 2013 -2015. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Known for both his top expertise in media matters, culture events and international co-operation, and charitable activities for many years, Counsellor Juha V\u00e4nsk\u00e4 is great new member of The Rogatchi Foundation International Advisory Board.
