The organisers of the International Jewish Culture Days in Zagare, Lithuania decided to bring together the two collections created in correspondence by the artist Michael and art photographer Inna Rogatchi, in order to build on an exhibit adding volume and more dimensions.

Michael Rogatchi’s series Libertango of bright and dynamic works on music are combined in this exhibit with reflective and metaphorical art photography collages by Inna Rogatchi from two of her collections: Horizon Beyond Horizon: A Celebration of Jewish Talent and Black Milk and Dark Stars on the Holocaust.

Libertango is a well known series, widely exhibited internationally with a universal appeal. In an inventive and original way, it shows a very close connection between a human being and music as it is perceived by the artist. In Zagare, Michael Rogatchi shows the prints of this famed series in its 2015 New Edition. Celebration of Jewish Talent is a special collection of allusive portraits by Inna Rogatchi. For the first time, this exhibit features the work dedicated to the famous Lithuanian modern composer Anatolius Senderovas – who is also another participant in the International Days of Jewish Culture in Zagare. Inna’s works on the Holocaust are also quite well known. Part of them were featured in Inna’s The Lessons of Survival film. That collection is due to be exhibited at the European Parliament in 2016.
