The Time of Kindness and Lasting Effect of It

Kindness and charity are always very timely, and often quite necessary, things; but there are some special periods in all our calendars when the deeds of charitable help are almost mandatory for those who believes in certain principles of life. The time in early Autumn, around Jewish New Year, Rosh HaShanah, and the High Holidays is one of the most important moments in our annual calendar for the real making of things good and necessary, twice so for those who are in need.

We, at The Rogatchi Foundation, are very happy to share news about such special and very impressive deeds by several of our dear friends, who are members of the International Advisory Board of The Rogatchi Foundation, and our close partners; all of them have occurred at this very particular time, for kindness, the addressed one, in all these exemplary deeds by those great people.

The Rogatchi Foundation salutes our dear friends who are samples of those with wise hearts for many:

World-class philanthropist, well-known businessman, member of the Jewish European Parliament Glynn Cohen, his wife Nadiia and daughter Aleah who contributed in the name of Michael Rogatchi to the South African Chevra Kadisha welfare fund a contribution which provides food, healthcare and shelter for more than 2000 people and their families;

Famous actress, theatre director, translator and cultural figure, member of the International Advisory Board of The Rogatchi Foundation, Maija-Liisa Marton who decided to introduce her Personal Stipend in memory of her parents, Toivo and Aune Poutilainen, to the brilliant orphan student from Ukraine Rachel Rudovsky, to support her further education in Israel;

World-renowned Maestro Evgeny Kissin, member of the International Advisory Board of The Rogatchi Foundation who did not hesitate a minute to provide urgently needed financial help to ensure that another very able and industrious orphan boy from Ukraine, Shlomo Kotvitzky, would be able to study at the Lauder School in Vienna where he had been accepted due to the degree of his knowledge.

The Rogatchi Foundation is extending our heartfelt gratitude to our dear friends, great personalities, and very kind and thoughtful people for their kindest and timely help to those in need, and for their customarily graceful way of doing it.

We know that more of The Rogatchi Foundation friends are involved in acts of loving kindness, and we will share those wonderful, inspiring and uplifting news with our friends and readers regularly.
