The Rogatchi Foundation is very pleased to announce the new member to its International Advisory Board (IAB). Well-known diplomat and senior government official (retired) Dr Jyrki Iivonen has become the new member of the body.
Dr Iivonen is an internationally recognised specialist on foreign policy affairs, with a long and distinguished career in diplomacy and public policy. During his interesting and fruitful career, Jyrki was editor-in-chief of two leading Finnish magazines, Foreign Policy Magazine, and The Magazine of the National Defence. Mr Iivonen has authored about twenty books and monographs on international and political affairs, and he is also known as a high-class columnist of a few leading newspapers. Among many of Jyrki’s distinguished characteristics are his deep knowledge and vast experience in international affairs, and also a wide range of his own interests, from literature to photography, and from music to cooking and ethnography.
Additional to his other distinguished awards, Mr Iivonen is Commander of the Order of the Lion of Finland.
