World-leading master of architecture joins The Rogatchi Foundation body of international advisers
The Rogatchi Foundation is pleased to announce that internationally renown master of architecture, professor Rainer Mahlamäki has joined the Foundation International Advisory Board. Among his other projects, professor Mahlamäki is known for his widely acclaimed POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews recognised by UNESCO as the Best Museum in the World in 2016.
Among many other domestic in Finland and international projects created and undertaken by professor Mahlamäki and his able team of LMA Architecture are forthcoming The Lost Shtetl Memorial and Museum in Lithuania, cultural complex in Gdansk, Poland, many unique museums, concert halls, libraries in Finland, important projects in Germany, Latvia, the United Kingdom. Professor Mahlamäki who led the Union of Finnish Architects for many years, and who is teaching architecture in the University of Oulu for more than two decades, is sought-after member if international juries for many crucial international project, including the recent Museum and Memorial Centre in Babiy Yar, Ukraine.
He is known as one of the rare international architects who is deeply involved in history, culture and meaningful historical context of the projects in which he is taking a part in.
