Inna and Michael Rogatchi Awarded in New York

Inna and Michael Rogatchi were awarded with the COUPLE OF THE YEAR Award at the Evening of Arts and Culture, the Eighth Annual Gala Dinner at the Jewish Children’s Museum in New York.

The JCM Executive Director Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson presented Inna and Michael Rogatchi with the Couple of the Year Award at the Evening of Arts and Culture in New York, May 2013.

The Jewish Children’s Museum (JCM) is the biggest children’s museum in the USA and is well-known both in the USA and internationally as a pioneer in inventive education.

The Award was presented to the Rogatchis by the director of the JCM, Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson, one of the leaders in international education, the person who has been responsible for the education of the Jewish and non-Jewish children world-wide for 30 years.

In his speech, Rabbi Benjaminson spoke about the 25 years of the philanthropic activities of the Rogatchi family, and of their two well-known cultural charity international organisations, Arts Against Cancer (AAC) and The Rogatchi Foundation. The head of the JCM also emphasised the international dimension of the Rogatchis’ artistic careers, and their devotion to the cause of the harmonious upbringing of children, introducing high level art and culture to a very wide international public, and helping in many various ways those in need globally.

In their video-presentation and the acceptance notes, Inna and Michael Rogatchi spoke of why they and their Foundation decided to support this very institution out of all of the variety of international modern and advanced museums. “New York Jewish Children’s Museum teaches children how to carry on small and big acts of kindness in the most inventive, cordial, funny and talented way” – said Inna Rogatchi. “I decided to go into a wide-reaching and long-term co-operation with this great institution when I saw the children’s faces here during my first visit to the Museum” – said Michael Rogatchi.

Alongside Inna and Michael Rogatchi, among the laureats of the year were the world renowned pianist Evgeny Kissinand the legendary New York Chief Police Commissioner Honorable Raymond Kelly.

The Evening of Arts and Culture attracted a large audience, with the presence of the leading Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Justice of the Supreme Court Hon Bruce Balter, Deputy General Consul of Finland Riitta Gerlander, top publisher Valerie Salembier, many high-ranking officers of the New York Police and USA law-enforcement, well-known politicians, businessmen, public figures and philanthropists.
